Cambridge Cinema Shorts presents:
An Introduction to 35mm Analogue Photography and Hand Processing
Cambridge Cinema Shorts is holding a weekend course on the ancient art of analogue photography, (film), film development and processing.
The course will run over three days, the evening of Friday 3rd and all day Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th November.
Friday will comprise of course introduction, plus a talk by Rosie McMurray, titled A Way Of Seeing. Image perception versus the reality of the resulting photograph and Simon Mullen will talk on the basic technicalities and operation of manual analogue cameras.
Saturday we will give participants a photographic project to complete and on the Sunday film will be developed. Then, with the use of a digital medium, selected negatives will be processed under instruction and with advice and feedback from the group. They will then be printed and the weekend will conclude with an exhibition of the work where friends and family will be welcome.
The price of the course is £30 which includes film, processing, printing, expert advice, instruction and liberal quantities of tea, coffee and biscuits.
Places are limited to 10 people and will be awarded on a first come first served basis.
The course will be held in the community centre, Argyle Street Co-operative, Argyle Street, Cambridge.
