Cambridge Cinema Shorts in partnership with Strawberry Fair were delighted to run The Cambridge Strawberry Shorts Film Festival 2011 on the evening of Friday 3 June.
The festival was held in the Cinema Marquee on Midsummer Common and had the honour of acting as the opening event for Strawberry Fair.

The doors opened at 17:30 and by 18:30 when the screening started, the Cinema Marquee was packed.
The Cambridge Strawberry Shorts Film Festival is a fully competitive film festival with Best Local Film and Best Overall Film award categories. In each category we have an Audience Vote and Jury Vote, the winners receiving a converted La Fraise d’Or.

Both the directors of Beach and Toothless were present to receive the awards.
Strawberry Fair is Europe’s largest free festivals of music and arts and has been held annually on Midsummer Common in Cambridge UK, on the first Saturday in June for the last 37 years, apart from 2010. The fair is run by a voluntary committee of local people.

Running Order
Strawberry Shorts takes place on the evening of Friday 3 June in the Cinema Marquee on Midsummer Common.
Doors open at 17:30.
The screening is split into two programmes.
The first programme starts promptly at 18:30
Arrive before 18:30 to be part of the Audience Voting Panel.
There will be a 15 minute intermission at 20:30 followed by the second programme.
The second programme ends at 22:30 and the awards will be announced at 23:00.
